Technology class

The purpose of this class is to teach us student- teachers how to integrate technology into our future classrooms to promote the best learning possible and to meet different students' needs, the only obstacles we try to overlook is the access to these different technological facilities that we are learning about.
we started with the blog and the instructor proposed ways for us to be using the blog with our students in the classroom, through the blog a teacher can share her ideas, her thoughts, communicate assignments, and even can write down rules for the students to be following. As a blog is continuously being updated, a teacher can reform and change such posts so that they are being used appropriately with time and according to what the teacher and her students both need.
then we did a web quest, through the web quest we are able to use a website to help our students in performing a task that requires a long period of time. the only thing with the web quest is that it cant be used at all times, because the students are being taught with content that can not always be translated into products or tasks, however, whenever is possible a teacher may use it as it is a great opportunity to present the students with something new and creative, and because it's very detailed students will benefit the most since the criteria for the evaluation is always present to guide the students.
The most recent thing that the teacher got us to do, is the VCT which is a power point slide presentation which helps the teacher to get her/his students to perform several tasks in order to come up with a final product. This is very useful because it presents teachers with new ways to assess their students esp. that it's a development process which requires students to make use of the materials provided by the teacher to reach the final result, and because the materials are always at hand students can make the most of it.
